Neetu Kapoor Reveals Ranbir Kapoor’s Reaction On Devastating News Of Rishi Kapoor’s Cancer: ‘He Was In Denial'

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have been in New York for over 11 months now for the treatment of Rishi Kapoor’s cancer. The veteran actor is recovering slowly and steadily after successful treatment of bone marrow cancer and will be heading back to India after being completely recovered. Through the difficult times, what made it easier for the couple, were all the visits from their friends in the industry. Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Anupam Kher, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and many others paid the couple a visit whenever they were in New York. Now, in a recent interview, Neetu Kapoor has revealed how their son Ranbir Kapoor dealt with the news of Rishi Kapoor’s cancer.
In a recent interview with Times Now, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor opened up on dealing with the veteran actor’s treatment. Rishi Kapoor was all praises for his beautiful wife who he said, stood by like the rock of Gibraltar, and without whom he would not be getting anywhere. Neetu Kapoor also revealed how she informed Ranbir Kapoor of the sad news after which, he had tears in his eyes and was in denial for an hour or so. Neetu said, "Ranbir came and I told him 'There's something I want to tell you.' I told him what happened, he had tears in his eyes. He was in denial for an hour or so. He composed himself and said 'Let's deal with it'." However, he composed himself later and dropped everything and headed to Delhi. From there, he picked Rishi Kapoor up and all three of them flew to New York to start with the treatment immediately.
During the interview, Rishi Kapoor also revealed that Ranbir visited them in New York four times and would stay for five days. He also added that they will be heading back home in September.
